«KÖNIG DER RABEN / KING OF RAVENS» 2019 – 2020 | NEW LOVE DRAMA WITH ANTJE TRAUE and MALIK BLUMENTHAL

In his new feature film “König der Raben / King of Ravens”, director Piotr J. Lewandowski tells a love drama that takes place in the world of illegal immigrants in southern Germany, which is characterized by struggle and solidarity. It is an opulently told love story in which Antje Traue and Malik Blumenthal take on the leading roles of Alina and Darko. Patricia Walczak did the production design of the film.

The role of the mother is played by Danuta Stenka, an outstanding Polish actress.

The costumes are by Itamar Zechoval, the director of photography was Jan Prahl. The film was produced by Michael Eckelt and Johannes Jancke / Riva Filmproduktion.
The editing was done by Stefanie Groß / SWR / Debüt im Dritten and Birgit Kämper / ARTE . “King of Ravens” was produced with the support of Hessen Film, MFG Baden-Württemberg and DFFF.

Other roles include Karim Günes, Mert Dincer, Barbara Philipp, Ralph Herforth, Carsten Strauch and André Röhner.

“King of Ravens” was filmed in Offenbach, Frankfurt am Main, the former US barracks in Friedberg as well as in Mannheim and Heidelberg.

The premiere of the film will take place during the International Hofer Film Days on 24.October 2020.
